Ashlie, also known as her alias happimood, is a first generation Asian-American artist with a BA in Fine Arts. Her specialty is drawing and oil painting although she also dabbles in mixed media work and embroidery.

She also worked as a large-scale events and wedding floral designer for 8 years, which has helped her gain a deeper knowledge of understanding color palettes, textures, form, patterns, and proportions.

In her paintings, she loves blending surrealist backgrounds against realistic subject matters and experiments with a plethora of organic textures and punches of color in her embroidery work. Blending her knowledge from floristry, painting and embroidery, she hopes to bring a unique perspective in all her work.
