Oil Paints
Gamblin Artist Oil Colors Introductory Set
I have always been a huge fan of Gamblin colors since first learning to use oils in college. They mix beautifully with one another, pigments are extremely saturated and has such buttery smoothness texture when applying to any surface.
Gamblin 1980 Oil Color Exclusive Set
Sometimes, depending on the pigment, Gamblin Original Oils can be quite expensive. A really wonderful alternative Gamblin offers is their 1980 collection — more affordable option for those who are either budgeting or just starting to use oils and don’t want to commit too heavily yet.
Winsor & Newton Artsan Water Mixable Oil Color Paint Set
Winsor & Newton is another amazing brand of oil paints. If you’re deciding between the two, you can’t go wrong with either one.

Brushes
Rosemary&Co - The Alla Prima Oil Brush Set
I’ve actually recently discovered Rosemary & Co brushes… Which is considered sacrilegious (I think) because how have I gone on this long without knowing their existence? I apparently live under a rock. I can’t emphasize enough just how absolutely worth it these brushes are and so worth the investment.
** This is actually not an affiliate link! I just love their brushes so, so much and would recommend them to anyone. & This is the exact brush set I own and I swear by them and their quality!! **
Trekell Synthetic Oil Paint Brushes Set
These brushes are some of my all-time favorites. They’re long-lasting, apply paint perfectly and their collection of brushes are endless depending on what you’re looking for. Plus, decently priced and totally worth it if you buy their sets.
Oil Mediums
Gamblin Mediums Set
I love incorporating mediums into my oils — whether to increase elasticity of my oils, have them dry faster, create more texture or add another depth, this introductory starter set is perfect to help dip your toes into the world of oil mediums.
Cleaning Materials
Murphy Oil Soap Wood Cleaner
This is AMAZING for brushes that are extremely dry from using Gamsol or some type of mineral spirit, as well as to melt off any oil paint that has dried on your brushes by mistake. Makes my brushes feel extra conditioned and soft before every painting session :)
Spectrum Organic Safflower Oil
Ever since using oils to clean my oil brushes, I rarely ever use soap and water now (since finding out how harsh and drying soap and warm water is on the bristles). Rotating between Murphy’s Oil Soap and conditioning with Safflower Oil has completely extended the quality and life of my brushes. Can’t recommend enough!
Scott Scott Shop Towels
Great alternative than using old rags (where it’s incredibly hard to clean afterwards once oil paint dries up) and more durable and absorbs more oil & moisture than normal paper towel.
Paper
Strathmore Sketch Paper Pad 5.5"X8.5"
I use Strathmore sketch paper for every thing — all my beginning sketches and planning out phase of my work.
Strathmore Watercolor Paper Pad Spiral Bound
For a lot of my mixed media works where I’m combining graphite with some sort of paint (oil, watercolor, acrylic, etc), I always use Strathmore extremely durable watercolor paper
Strathmore 297-12-1 Hardbound Sketch Art Journal
Perfect sketchbook (in my opinion) to just always carry around and have with you.
Pencils
STAEDTLER Mars Lumograph Art Drawing Pencils
My favorite graphite pencil set. I always have these next to me when I’m working on a graphite drawing.
Pentel GraphGear 500 Automatic Drafting Pencils
These are a must-have for me. Anything from the GraphGear line, honestly!

Miscellaneous / Helpful Tools
Mandarin Moose Color Harmony Wheel
I can’t even properly articulate how wonderful this color wheel is. It helps me find color-balance (as well as just color inspiration, in general) for all my artworks. And sometimes, I like to just think about color without REALLY thinking about color, if you know what I mean. Such a handy tool to have.
New Wave POSH Glass Artist Palette | Neutral Grey
I always work with a neutral midtone gray background for my oil paints.
Sennheiser HD 450SE Bluetooth 5.0 Wireless Headphone
I surprisingly get a lot of questions what brand my headphones are. So I thought I’d link them. :) (I was gifted these from Mr. Happimood and they’re one of my most cherished possessions). Can’t “art” without them anymore.
